Pune Auto Expo 2017: A great mix of useful and innovative products:
Pune’s Auto Expo 2017 concluded at the Auto-Cluster Exhibition center in PCMC a few days ago. This year’s exhibition was full of innovative products with enhanced quality, which saw many of the existing and some new automotive vendors.
The Auto Expo was held between Jan 12 to 16′ 2017 at the Auto-Cluster Exhibition Center in PCMC, Pune.
Let’s take a walk thru’ Auto Expo 2017:
Makers of suspension enhancement systems ‘TTC’ from Korea, lubes & oils maker Indian Oil were present at the exhibition. Also, metal & rubber hose pipes maker Imperial India showcased their products in this year’s Auto Expo.
In addition, CNG-Kit maker ‘Cars Gas Points’ also participated in the Auto Expo 2017, Pune displaying their add-on CNG kits for cars.
Upcoming OEMs in Auto Expo 2017:
Taiwan based OEM of transmission parts such as chain and sprocket -‘KMC’, displayed its chain & sprocket kit ‘Highpower’ at the Auto Expo. The company is looking to enter the Indian market thru’ OEM route in the near future.
Cooper Corporation also took part in the expo with their range of CNG & diesel engines which are designed for various applications.
Precision Testing at Auto Expo 2017:
Few companies which manufacture testing equipment for vehicles were also present. This included US based ‘Michigan Scientific’ thru’ their Indian subsidiary ‘WISE Vehicle Testing Solutions’. The company supplies test equipment for structural, seismic, component and fatigue testing for automotive applications.
The company also specializes in manufacturing wheel force transducers which measure the force acting on wheels during braking and acceleration. Participation of Michigan Scientific reiterates the growing commitment and contribution of American companies in precision testing domain in India.

Hybrids & Electric Cars at Auto Expo 2017:
A company ‘Alti-green’ supplying an add-on retro-fit hybrid system and a manufacturer of fully electric, made in India golf-kart ‘Evano’ were also present.
A racing tram, ‘The Metal Falcons’ from DY Patil College of Engineering, Pune also participated with its racing car and go-kart.
Besides, the team had also participated in ‘Supra SAE-India‘ racing challenge conducted at Buddh International circuit in Noida. It ranked 18th among the total of 173 participating teams. Crankit congratulates them for their achievement!
AmbuPod- An Innovative Medical Facility:
A unique concept which provides a mobile medical facility to the rural population of India was also on display at the auto expo 2017. This could eventually transform India’s medical fraternity.
This concept ‘AmbuPod’ is a mobile ambulance-cum-healthcare setup. Besides being an ambulance, it also provides resident healthcare services to the rural population in India.
Local Transport Body at Auto Expo 2017:
Pune’s local transport body Pune Municipal Parivahan Mahamandal Ltd. (PMPML) also put up their stall showing various initiatives taken by them.
Thus, this year’s Auto Expo 2017 showcased many innovative and quality products of OEMs. These innovations will surely go a long way in scripting the success story of the growing automotive sector in India!
